NP 221 Transfer Cases

An older model of transfer cases, the 221 first appeared in 1963, running all the way until the end of the decade in 1969. Having a Rockwell iron casing and being driven by gears rather than chains, this made for one of the toughest built transfer cases of its time. It was found in applications such as the Full Size Blazer, Suburban, and Tahoe for Chevrolet, the Jimmy, Suburban, and Yukon Full Size for GMC, and both companies had vans and pickups that utilized this transfer case.
