Chevy NP-241 NEW PROCESS TRANSFER CASE, 1989-1993 Top Product

One of my recent Thanksgiving camping trips was foiled due to a failure in my New Process 241 Transfer Case. This is a 1990 Chevrolet K3500 Pick Up truck that I purchased new. It has around 200,00 miles in it. It has a 14 bolt rear end. I have replaced the front independent front suspension with a Dana 60 up here. This happens to be a Ford Dana 60, so that the drive is on the driver side versus the passenger side. This is a Turbo 400 transmission thats going to mate to the new transfer case. After extensive research about this transfer case, this one here i've never had any problems with until this failure at thanksgiving. I did much research and found a company called Monster Transmissions, that does a few extra goodies in these transfer cases when they rebuild them. I'm gunna show you the two transfer cases here, The one on the left is obviously the one I took out of the truck. If you look closely you can see a large crack in the actual aluminum casing, when the thing exploded it actually busted the casing. So what i did is called Monster Transmission. Now a gal named Kelly, that I spoke to there, followed up after I placed the order. She wanted to confirm that i was actually driving the front differential on the driver side not on the passenger side, because I had told the original sales fella that I had put a Dana 60 in the front, so she called and confirmed that. And actually made another follow up call, very impressive company. There were several e-mails sent to me, giving me the progress on the transfer case. It was turned around in about, They build them as you order them, so it took about 5 days to get the transfer case. This new process 241 transfer case, after doing some research on this, there's a portion of the oil pump i guess in here that can rub a hole in the aluminum casing. I mentioned that to Monster Transmission and they actually are well aware of that and they reinforce the inside of this case prior to building the transfer case for you, to assure that you will never have that problem. Very professional company, I would highly recommend them. The transfer case is an exact replacement to the on that I took out. One last thing is the shipping container it came in. I was thoroughly impressed with this, this is not a cardboard box that it came in. This is actually a plastic container that the transfer case was shipped to me in. The whole company from start to finish was first class, and I am very pleased with the product.
