The BW4404 transfer case is a Ford model that is chain driven, has a part time system, and offers torque on demand. Because of the part time nature of this case, it is able to run well both on and off the road. This transfer case can be found in vehicle applications such as non sport model Explorers from 1995-2001 as well as on the Mercury Mountaineer from 1997-2001.
