700R4 Planetary

The 700R4 planetary gear train creates all the different gear ratios that can be produced by the transmission. The set has three main components to it: the sun gear, the planet gears and their carrier, and the ring gear. Planetary trains provide a stronger power output compared to a standard gear train. These gear trains come as either front or rear sets, depending on their location inside the transmission.
