The 5R110 was built for heavy duty Ford vehicles and was launched in 2003. While advertised as a 5 speed, the 5R110 actually does come with a hidden sixth gear that only activates during extreme cold weather. Monster has available heavy duty and super duty builds, both of which significantly increase the rating of the horsepower and the torque of the transmission.
